Just got a mini LED. Went for a QN80H – upgrading from a 2018 Frame which is so dated now. Will be hell of an upgrade for me. OLED & RGB was just silly money.
I went to buy a 65″ LG C5/C6 OLED recently.
But when compared with Sony Bravia 5 mini-LED side-by-side, the difference was that LG C5/C6 was sufficiently bright at lighter areas but the slightly darker areas were also washed away of the crucial details.
Then realised that it’s the processor that does the job.
So looked at slightly higher priced LG G6 that handled all shades almost perfectly.
But when comparing G6 OLED to Sony Bravia 5 mini-LED, the colour accuracy of Sony’s XR processor was miles ahead.
Also, Sony’s XR Processor is almost perfect in Upscaling non-4k content.
So if you watch a lot of Youtube, better get Sony.
Furthermore, I got to know that OLEDs need to be switched off by remote before you kill the main supply.
I have power fluctuations in my area (it’s a third world country I am living in).
Therefore, OLEDs was rejected by on grounds of practicality.
Lastly, I’ve got my old Sony PS4 Pro and that supposedly works better in Sony’s ecosystem.
I ended up buying Sony Bravia 5 65″.
